War

Laying in bed reading William Morris' "Rapunzel" and watching "The Giuliani Story" on TV. It's making me cry. It's still making me cry. The loss of life makes me cry and the face of that woman at the firehouse-- that will always be burned into my memory.

And Rudy just ended and Seinfeld started-- Seinfeld from an era that has passed. From the Clinton '90's. Not the world of war and fear, anxiety and hatred that we live in now.

Thinking about the war-- really thinking about the war-- nauseates me. All of those people whose lives are torn apart there-- all of those Iraqi families who are terrified tonight. And we are so fucking up over there! Can it be that we really so underestimated the war or has Bush's government been lying to us all along?

I want back the Clinton '90's. New York felt different then. Everyone had a job and you could smoke in the bars.

Congress was always fighting-- not lining up behind a vigilante, born-again Christian whom even I want to believe... all in the ashes of the Twin Towers.

My ankle is killing me. It is swollen, but not as purple.

The whole world hates America. Is the world order changing? Is the UN now irrelevant? How will the future remember us?

Will they know that I had love?
Will they remember love?

PS: I hate the CNN coverage. "Showdown" my ass!

PPS: I think Saddam's still alive...
